On Tuesday night the Los Angeles Lakers played against the Memphis Grizzlies. Anthony Davis led the Lakers to a 120-91 win, in which Davis absolutely went off. He had 40 points and went 7-17 from the field. He had an astounding 27 free throws and made 26. He also added 20 rebounds. He accomplished this stat line in only three quarters and is the only player in the last 20 seasons to do so. Davis also became the first Lakers player since Shaq in 2003 to have 40 points, 20 rebound game. In finishing with 40 points, 20 rebounds, and 25 made free throws, Davis became only the second player in NBA history to put up these numbers in one game. The other person is Wilt Chamberlain, he achieved this stat line en route to his 100 point game. Davis is confident that his shoulder injury won’t provide any setbacks and has plenty of time to rest it because the Lakers head to Dallas on Friday night to face off against Luka Doncic and the newly acquired Kristaps Porzingis.
