On November 14, a young boy, attending Kindergarten at H.B. Lawrence Elementary School in Massachusetts, brought a bag containing white powder. He showed it to his friends and teacher because he wanted them to know that when he ingested the powder, he felt like Spider-Man. The kindergarten teacher reported it to the school’s principal who called the police. An ambulance was called and the young boy was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The boy had not ingested any of the substance and was released later. The mother of the boy was notified and she gave permission for police to search her home. When the police entered the home, they found the boy’s father, Benny Garcia asleep with more bags underneath him. The father was arrested and more bags fell from his body. The police dogs were brought in and found more than 200 bags within the home. While searching for bags, the police found a young infant and both children were taken into the Child Protection Service. Garcia had run from other charges and had a warrant. Garcia pleads not guilty on November 15 to drug possession and child endangerment.
