Trafficking has been around for a while and it seems that it keeps progressing. It has started to appear in places you wouldn’t expect, like your own hometown. As you may think you are safe at all times, you should reconsider and listen to these few safety precautions to keep you safe. While you are out and about, whether it’s day or night, you should always watch your surroundings. Look out for suspicious men or women who look as if they have bad intentions. If you are at a store and you feel as if you’re being followed, ask a worker to walk you to your car. If you are going out at night, make sure you take someone with you. Make sure your car doors are locked while you are driving and make sure all your house doors are locked. If someone asks you to test a sample of “perfume” kindly say no and walk away. If you are ever thinking “what if” always go with your gut instinct because the sad truth is, these “what if” scenarios are now becoming a reality.
