Although the holidays are exciting, in a way I feel blue. Two years ago the holidays were the best, but now to me, it’s just another day. I haven’t been feeling in the mood to feel like celebrating. It’s not that I don’t like Christmas, I just don’t feel the holiday spirit. Christmas, for me, when I was younger, was about being able to be with family making food together; children playing, running around, and just having a full house to celebrate Christmas. But for the past two years since we moved and other family members moved, Christmas isn’t the same. Here in California, we don’t have much family that lives close to us. They either live 3 to 4 hours away or they are in a different state. Now I just have my little family and I have to value what I have now.
