The 40-year-old father, David Ostrom, is going through a divorce with his wife, Bridgette Ostrom, and of course, divorces are usually ugly but never has someone wanted to challenge their ex-wife with a trial by combat for custody of their child. David has said that his ex-wife had destroyed him legally so he wants to either destroy his ex-wife or her attorney, “on the field of battle where he will rend their souls from their corporal bodies.” David has gone through a lot and stated that this request isn’t that far fetched because of the absurd behavior from the attorney and asked the court for twelve weeks to find the proper Japanese swords for their duel. The attorney, Matthew Hudson, stated that the duel could result in death which would render the issues of property tax and custody moot. Hudson wanted to limit David’s visitation rights and give him a psychological evaluation but the court did not rule in any party’s favor.
