Last Friday El Diamante held their annual “Winter Sports Rally”. The rally’s theme was “Road Trip”. Many students attended the non-mandatory rally to support our winter sports teams. It was a great turnout. All of the bleachers were full and 75% of our midline chairs were as well. The rally had us travel through American landmarks and as we stopped at each one, a new team was introduced through a separate video. Each sports video contained highlights, bloopers, and fond memories as a team to reflect on their great seasons. The rally decor included state license plates as our section signs, state, and country postcard posters all around the gym, matching streamers, and many different color combinations of balloons brightening our gym. This rally wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for Mrs. McBride, our principal, the media arts academy, ASB, and of course our winter athletes. Overall, there were lots of students who attended, the teachers were delighted with the flow of the rally, and most of all our winter athletes got the recognition they deserved.
