Recent tests are showing that the flu outbreak is decreasing slowly while still high. The influenza vaccine is still highly suggested. 2019-2020 death toll has hit around 6,600 and is still increasing while many are hospitalized. A 4-year-old girl from Iowa has been diagnosed blind as a side effect to the flu and nearly witnessed death. Girl’s physician says, “She’s lucky to be alive.” Health officials are asking children to please be vaccinated. The proof is showing how extreme this virus is and even more risky for young children. Mother of four-year-old Jade explains to officials she thought it was just a bug until her fever spiked and needed to be hospitalized for two days. Confused mom says daughter Jade was perfectly healthy before catching the virus and doctors admit this is the case with many other children.
