On Wednesday, January 22, the El Diamante wrestling team went to Mt. Whitney. Going into this, El D is 0-2 and is having a rough start to the league. The first match was a forfeit giving Mt. Whitney the lead, El D started off with a pin by Brett Costa and this led to another forfeit by Mt. Whitney. The next match was Samuel Garcia and he won with the score 18-5. El D went on to win a couple more and in the end, El D fell short and lost 45-34.
