Early Monday morning, one person opened fire on a large bus headed from Los Angeles to the Bay Area. There were exactly 43 people inside. As the suspect opened fire, the bus driver was able to stop the bus and persuade the shooter to get off the bus, preventing more tragedy. Yet still, 5 people were left injured and 1 person was unfortunately killed.
Witnesses not only described the suspected man that had committed the crime, but they also described their own experience and witness to the event. Many people heard the man muttering to himself beforehand. One witness, who had moved to America 3 years ago, said that ever since he moved here, he feared to be part of a shooting; he described the event as “more terrifying than I could have imagined.” One couple helped keep a mother and her 2 children down as rounds went off. Out of the 5 people who were injured, 2 are in serious condition, but the others are expected to survive.
