I couldn’t find any news this week that caught my eye, so here’s some news about me; lately I’ve been running out or inspiration and motivation, therefore, like always, I turn to music. I’m not going to talk about the music itself, but instead, he who makes the music; Ashton Irwin. In case you aren’t familiar with that name, here’s a bit of insight: Ashton Irwin is part of an Australian band 5SOS that rose to fame in 2011 after being recognized by Louis Tomlinson. Ashton has always been my personal beacon of inspiration, nevertheless, more recently. Like all, he has faced his own personal demons, starting with the absence of his father at age 2. This forced him to become a helping hand to his mother and role model for his two younger siblings. He survived an attempted overdose at age 16, and since then has become the strongest person that he could be; for him and his fans. He brings light through his music, awareness of mental health, and open arms. I’m careful about who I let influence me, but Ashton Irwin was a no-brainer.
