A fire that ripped through a Mississippi home early on Saturday killed a mother and her six children despite the father’s efforts to get them out safely. The children ranged in ages from 1 to 15. Five of them were found huddled in one bedroom while the mother and another child found in a different bedroom. The father tried to save his family and the attempt left him with second-degree burns and smoke inhalation problems.
