The number of injured troops in the Iranian Strikes has risen from 0 to 109. Trump initially said no troops were injured in the strikes. The Pentagon released a statement that differed from Trump’s saying, “109 American Troops suffered traumatic brain injuries as a result of Iran’s January 8th missile attack.” This number more than tripled over the first statement saying 34 troops have been injured. The Veterans of Foreign Wars are asking for an apology from Trump. Many troops were treated in Iraq, but others were treated in Germany and the U.S. 76 of the affected troops have returned to duty. The rest of the troops will recover and return back to duty once they are able to.
