26-year-old solo artist, Harry Styles, is set to perform tonight at the BRITS alongside other artists such as Lizzo and Billie Eilish. Pictures have been released of his attire for the show tonight and like usual, he served looks. However, one accessory has been added to his attire that has many mourning. Styles pinned a black ribbon to his shoulder in honor of his late ex Caroline Flack who tragically took her own life on the 15th of February. Many others such as Nick Grimshaw and Russel Crow (who compared the star to the late Amy Whinehouse) paid their respects to the host via Twitter and BBC Radio 1. Crowe stated, “I am angry and sad that Caroline Flack found herself in that place. I am sad because she was a lovely little person, a real laugh, a dynamo and the idea that she had been so drained of hope by her circumstances chokes me.” Styles is set to perform despite this emotional setback along with the one he faced just before on the 14th. Reportedly, Harry was enjoying a Valentine’s dinner in London when at approximately 11:45 PM, he was approached by a man bearing a knife. Styles remained calm and obliged to handing over what money he had on him. In a report, the star simply wrote that he was “shaken up”.
As always, it can be inferred that Harry will give another amazing performance at the BRITS despite recent events.
