Last Friday, February 21st, was our incoming freshman’s first impression on their new home, El Diamante High School. 8th Graders from La Joya Middle School and Ridgeview visited our campus to see all of the incredible opportunities our school has! Link Crew members were assigned a group of future freshmen to monitor as they watched a video about their freshman year in the theater, and took a tour of the magnificent campus. At 10:00, the 8th graders united in the gym to view multiple presentations from our school’s extracurricular activities such as band, color guard, dance, and the musical. During the choir’s performance of the national anthem, I observed that the 8th graders remained silent and respectful throughout the entire song, which gives me hope for their behavior during next year’s rallies.
8th Grade preview day was definitely a success for El Diamante. I’m sure the incoming freshman are very excited about their high school experience.
