…With her family finally freed from the castle, the Child made her way to the church just across the castle courtyard. She felt guilty for not telling her family of her plan, as it could end in her death. But it was a risk she was willing to take. She could not risk the King becoming aware of her true intentions. A traditional draconic death consisted of a ritual of worship for the creature. It was a sacred ritual. As she arrived at the church, she noticed the Queen was already there. The Queen made no attempt to talk to the Child, but they both sat in a rather surprising comfortable silence as they waited for the King to arrive. As they sat, the Child took in the beautiful architecture of the church. It was a place of worship exclusively for dragons, which made the Child uncomfortable. Why would the Vampire King have a dragon church? Had he done this ritual before? Was she really going to die here? Or would her plan succeed…? Her thoughts were cut short by the King entering the large doors of the rather small building…
