A woman, who lives in Hong Kong, being a coronavirus patient found her dog to have a low level of the virus. The agriculture, fisheries, and conservation department said they had to quarantine the dog for a standard of 14 days, once its nasal and oral samples had tested “weak positive”. But they also claim they didn’t have the evidence to know if the virus can be transmitted to pets. The authorities in Hong Kong said that the dog hasn’t shown any symptoms. The AFCD will still do test samples to further decide if it did get infected or just got environmental contamination from the dog’s mouth and nose.
