Saturday, March 7th we had our spring launch at Exeter Union high school. I placed first in all my three events. The 4×1 relay, the 200 meters, the 400 meters. We got medals and everything, it was a very nice season starter. On Wednesday the 11th, we traveled to Tulare Western high school as we competed against them, a dual meet. My coach put me in an event I’ve never run before, the 800 meters which are two laps. I was really nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I did better than I thought I would, took first! I was shocked but now I knew I could do it. We were just starting off a great season, as it’s so sad all our meets are canceled now due to COVID-19. All our hard work for nothing. We are all praying this will die out and we get to participate in meets.
