Due to COVID-19, many things have changed this school year, including how back-to-school night went. Let’s recap how this night normally works before we get into the newest form. Normally, this night consists of parents and children filing into classrooms during their allotted time, chatting with their teachers, and figuring out who they will be spending the rest of the school year with all in one night. However, due to the pandemic and having to stay socially distanced, it all occurred online. This meant that rather than filing into classrooms with desks and chairs, they instead joined online classes through ZOOM from the comfort and safety of their own homes. Unfortunately, this did mean that the students and parents were unable to have that in- person one- on- one time, but rather just got to hear a little bit about the teacher in the short time they had. Despite having a strange twist on the event, it was still just as important and fun to attend.
