Just recently, on Friday the 11th, an incident occured at the California State Prison, just locally in Corcoran. A  forty-four year-old inmate by the name of Adrian Rodriguez got into a quarrel with his cellmate, 29 year old Daniel Santo, that quickly turned fatal. Santos began getting physically violent. Officers were able to intervene with pepper spray and get Rodriguez to medical workers as soon as they could, but they were unfortunately too late, and he later died from his injuries.

While the true cause of death is still being determined and studied upon, investigators are ruling the death a homicide with Santos being the “prime suspect,” according to ABC30.com. And according to another site, kesq.com, Santos is currently being placed in isolation as the investigation of the situation continues, and he has yet to admit the motive for this attack.
