Steelers vs. Giants MNF

A lot of questions were had about the Steelers mostly regarding the quarterback position. Big Ben, however, showed up last night completing 66% of his passes and throwing for an exceptional amount of three touchdown passes and zero interceptions. Keep in mind, however, that this is a well-coached Steelers team, as it has been for years, going up against what is a tire-fire of an organization in the New York Giants. Most of the offensive production for the Steelers stemmed from its young wide-out core with JuJu Smith-Schuster raking in two touchdowns on only six receptions and 69 yards and Diontae Johnson proving to be Big Ben’s second-favorite target with another six receptions for a modest 57 yards. Pittsburgh’s young second-year backup running back, Benny Snell Jr. had an outstanding night steaming ahead for 113 rushing yards on 19 carries. Some might say that the Steelers had better results on defense as they held all-pro running back, Saqoun Barkley, to an abysmal performance with 15 carries and only six rushing yards. The Giants played how everyone expected them to and the Steelers were there to only make matters worse for them. Week 2, Pittsburgh hosts the Denver Broncos in what is predicted to be a better match-up, although Pittsburgh is favored by six points to take home another win.
