Legendary tag team known as “The Legion of Doom” and “The Road Warriors” have now both passed away. In October of 2003, Road Warrior Hawk passed away due to a heart attack. A few days ago as of writing this, Road Warrior Animal died due to “natural causes” on September 22, 2020. The tag team was one of the most decorated in history while wrestling all over the world. From the USA to Japan, the tag team cemented themselves as one of if not the greatest tag team of all time. Fellow wrestlers such as Dwayne Johnson have come out to say, “RIP brother. Really saddened to wake up to this news today — the passing of my friend, Joe Laurinaitis aka ROAD WARRIOR ANIMAL. Joe & Mike aka HAWK & ANIMAL, THE ROAD WARRIORS were the most intense, legit tough bad a***s tag team in the history of the wild world of pro wrestling. When I was making my bones, still learning the business in the WWE as a very young ‘The Rock’ – I wrestled these guys so many times on the road and they always took good care of me and made sure I learned. Tough as nails. Good men. Greatest tag team of all time. And apple fritters (our inside joke). Much love and I’ll always be grateful to you both. RIP.” Everyone in the wrestling world was pretty shaken up. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family during this mentally, and physically taxing year.
