In this segment called “This or That” I will be discussing two topics that are generally opposites of one another. For both topics, I will give the pros and cons of each side in an unbiased manner to let you choose which side is best. In this week’s edition, we have breakfast vs dinner. Let’s get started!
First, we have breakfast, which is what most people refer to as “the most important meal of the day”. But do you agree? In general, breakfast is a sweeter meal with that sweet sugary and scrumptious taste in almost every food you eat. There are tons of natural and artificial sugars in the fruits, syrup, french toast, and/or cereal you eat that makes it so delicious to so many people. Additionally, the breakfast you eat is the energy you rely on until lunch, or for some people during this time breakfast might be your lunch. One downside about breakfast is there are many limitations. You don’t see many people craving a nice steak or hamburger as soon as they wake up.
On the other side of the spectrum, we have dinner. Dinner usually has the most effort put into it and rarely disappoints, unless I’m cooking. Furthermore, dinner is open to a wide variety of options that create a feast of fantastic foods. You may have never heard of dinner for breakfast, but we have all heard the term of breakfast for dinner. This saying shows that dinner has so many options it can even turn into other meals of the day. A major con about dinner though is it tends to be less sweet and filled with vegetables and other foods that are not so favorable. To conclude, breakfast and dinner both have their pros and cons, but what do you think is better?
