Changes Following First Presidential Debate

On September 29, 2020 America witnessed a disastrous first debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden. It was a rocky night for both the Republican candidate and the Democratic candidate. As well as the poor moderator, Chris Wallace.

Following that hectic night, the CPD (Commission on Presidential Debates) has decided to change some rules for the next faceoff between the two candidates, as well as future debates. This was due to criticism coming from other politicians and American voters who had a hard time getting a grasp at either of the nominees’ policies that night. Many suggested cutting the microphone once a speaker violated the rules. Some even said the mic should be turned off once their two minutes to speak has ended, while others just thought Chris Wallace didn’t do so well maintaining order.

The CPD has yet to announce which changes will be taking place. However, they have ensured that the upcoming debates between Trump and Biden on October 15th and October 22nd will be done in a more orderly fashion anyways. Hopefully the next two scheduled make up for the last one, which will certainly be going down as one of the craziest presidential debates in history.
