While taking a jog on a trail in Slate Canyon near Provo, a Utah man named Kyle Burgess was stalked and followed by a mother cougar for over six minutes. As Burgess was jogging, he slows down, turns and faces up the cougar, and starts to yell at it, all caught on his own video. While politely jogging down the beautiful Utah path minding his own business, Burgess came up on some mountain lion cubs and knew he was in some trouble. As he quickly tried to get away from the cubs, before he knew it, the mother had appeared and began approaching him from behind. In his video, Burgess yells at the mountain lion mother with some profanities and tells her to “Go away!” and to “Go back to your babies!” as his heart stayed racing in fear of his own life. In the thrilling video he captured, the cougar hisses at him and makes a couple sudden quick lunges at him. Finally after a solid six minutes of fear, the mountain lion finally runs off back to her babies and Kyle Burgess lives to tell the tale with an amazing video along with it!
