Going Across The Border

Last week on October 26 though the 31, my family and I went to the Grand Canyon. It was my first time, and it was actually exciting. Even though it was far away, it was worth it. I had to skip school for a week, and my grades went down, but I knew I wanted to go take a trip with my family across the border because it was my first time and I did not want to pass up that opportunity. It was the first camping trip I took since COVID started.

While I was on my trip, we went to go see the Grand Canyon. It was super cold actually, colder than California. Then the other days we went to Bearizona. Bearizona was actually fun; it was like a zoo but much bigger. They had a drive through where you can see the wolves, bears etc. You can also go to the walk through where they have bear cubs, sea otters, foxes and much more.

On the last day of the trip before heading home, we went to Calico, which is a place that is a ghost town. They had everything back then, like old schools and old things that were used for living. They even have a mineshaft with a mountain going down.

Overall I had a great time and didn’t want to go back home into reality. My advice to you is if someone invites you to go somewhere, don’t turn it down because it might be a trip you’ll be on for a while. You might regret not going.
