On October 27, a collision occurred in the parking lot of Kaweah Delta’s Rehabilitation Hospital. The collision caused one person to be injured and another died.
On Tuesday morning, the driver was searching for a parking space when he backed into a car behind him. The driver was headed to the hospital for outpatient therapy. He then put his car into drive and lost control of the car. He hit a man and woman walking in the parking lot. The pair were rushed into the emergency room to care for their injuries. The man succumbed to his injuries while the woman’s condition has not been announced.
The police were called to the scene and remained there for many hours. They reported the driver was driving at a high speed through the parking lot. The CEO of Kaweah Delta expressed his sadness and prayers for the families affected by the tragedy.
