Close to 90,000 sexual abuse claims have been filed against the Boy Scouts of America in all 50 sates as well as military bases in Japan and Germany.

The Boy Scouts filed for bankruptcy protection in February because of the hundreds of lawsuits alleging decades-old of sexual abuse by Scout leaders. The boy Scouts said in a statement “ We are heartbroken that we cannot undo their pain ”. So many lives have been greatly impacted by past abuse in Scouting.

The alleged victims span generations as young as 9 years old to as old as 95. Sex abuse in Scouts was an “unsopken norm” which is extreamly foul. In April 2019, the court testimony indicated that the organization believed more than 7,800 of its former leaders had sexually abused at least 12,000 children since the late 1940’s.

The Scouts continue to apologize sincerely to anyone who was harmed during their time in Scouting. These men who have been taken advantage of will never be the same again after what has happened to each of them. They will forever remember the pain that these men that they looked up to have caused them.
