23-Year-Old Woman Charged with Murder

On November 1st, Tulare Police Department received a call requesting medical aid near Blain Park in Visalia. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a man identified to be John Albers, 55. He had been stabbed multiple times and he was in severe condition. The police launched an investigation and quickly identified a woman named Alicia Espinosa, 23. Espinosa and Albers were romantically involved. Espinosa had been on the run since that day. She was staying in Mexico and only recently was extradited to Tulare County after she was arrested in Mexico on an unrelated charge. She was booked into jail on November 13 and is currently being held at Tulare County Pretrial Facility without bail. She will face charges of one count of murder with the special allegation that she used a knife to kill and also one count of vehicle theft.
