A young Dunkin’ Donut employee, at only the age of 17, was stabbed in the arm after altercations of the customer not getting what they wanted, according to the police report. This incident began in the drive through and only minutes later the same customer felt the need to enter the building of the workplace. The employee told the police that it began as a verbal altercation and very quickly turned into a physical altercation.
The customer pulled a knife on the employee and swung it at her multiple times leaving her with a laceration on her left arm. Paramedics arrived and treated the girl, however, she declined the offer of being transported to the hospital.
A witness was able to provide a video of the incident to police. They also watched surveillance footage from the restaurant, however, the tag number of the vehicle was not visible.
Dunkin’ made a statement implying the safety and well-being of their guests and employees is a top priority and said they are aware of the incident that took place.
“The franchisee, who independently owns and operates this restaurant, informs us that he is cooperating with the local authorities. As this is an ongoing investigation, we defer any additional questions to the police,” the statement read.
