Harry Styles is the first male to be solo on the front cover of US Vogue. Not only was he the first male, but he also chose to wear a dress on the cover. Many mixed opinions came from the photoshoot because of his clothing choices. His fans were extremely supportive and ecstatic of his front cover fashion choice. However, some chose to express their negative opinion of him wearing a dress. Candace Owens, an American conservative author, took to Twitter to express her belief that men should not be allowed to wear dresses because it is not masculine, tweeting “bring back manly men”. Many then took to all social media platforms disagreeing with her opinion with multiple rebuttals. In response to Candace Owens, Harry Styles simply posted a picture on Instagram wearing a feminine outfit with the caption “bring back manly men”. The power in his post showed how he did not need to explain and defend himself for the way he chooses to dress.
