I’ve lived for about 17 years, and counting. I’ve gone through alot of dental procedures(more like 4) and have gone to the Orthodontist since the 1st grade. Because of this I believe I can accurately rate the pain one could experience from their teeth, and today i’ll be rating how bad certain dental procedures/processes are in case someone will be going through something similar and is nervous. Today I’m putting my pride on the sideline for the greater good of the public and definitely not to make fun of my own misfortunes.
Note this will be a top 4 list
Number 4: Braces
Surprisingly having Braces is not the worst thing imaginable. Really the only problem i had with braces was the time spent wearing them, and the fact that sometimes the tintening of them could feel a little tense. Besides those factors having braces did not make me hate life. In fact the orthodontist makes having braces a little more fun by giving you colored bands, and some give you tokens for prizes if you take good care of your teeth. Overall it benefited me and had minimal pain. I would definitely never do it again, but i’m glad i did.
Number 3: Frenectomy
Now I know what you’re thinking. A Frenectomy is the removal of the tissue that connects the middle of your upper lip to the gums. I honestly have no idea why I had this done. It resulted in stitches that lasted a week. It honestly so8nd worse than it was, they numb the area and remove it. There is almost no pain afterwards and I can barely remember what it felt like. Um I wish I knew why this happened?? But i guess i can’t complain about it.
Number 2: Root Canal:
I can verify that needing a Root Canal hurts really bad, but the actual procedure for a root canal is actually not bad at all. If anything having a root canal is so relieving because the pain the tooth was causing almost instantly is relieved. People think it’s scary, but it took about 30 mins and if anything was only ticklish when getting done. The only reason its higher on the lst is cause the tooth itself hurts a lot, the procedure does not though.
Number 1: Wisdom Teeth
I think we all can understand why this one is number 1. First of all I will never understand why I got this done since I didn’t feel any pain from my wisdom teeth! It’s almost like the dentists know what they’re doing and have a degree and I’m just an angry student who got their teeth stolen from them. They put you to sleep, so you don’t feel anything, but it’s the aftermath that is kinda scary. For starters you act funny and you run the risk of being filmed and going viral on Facebook (my worst nightmare) but you also have to deal with the swollen mess that is your face. Honestly the pain is also not that bad, but to each their own.
