President Biden’s $1.9 Trillion COVID Relief

Biden wants to give $1400 to eligible people as well as an additional $400 a week in unemployment aid. $25 billion is going to rental assistance, and $5 billion is going to help renters who need help with paying their utility bills. Biden is also increasing food stamp benefits by 15%. $3 billion is going towards helping infants, children, and women secure food. $25 billion is going to child care providers, and Biden wants to add another $15 billion. Biden also wants to boost the child tax credit. The plan will restore emergency paid leave. $15 billion is going to small businesses. Biden also wants $350 billion to go to local, state, and territorial governments and $170 billion to schools. $20 billion will go towards COVID vaccinations and $50 billion towards COVID testing. Lastly, Biden wants to raise the minimum wage to $15 dollars an hour.
