Inauguration day was not only an outstanding day for history, but everyone’s attire was outstanding as well. Monochromatic outfits were wildly popular this year. Kamala Harris, Jill Biden and Michelle Obama all stepped out in gorgeous monochromatic looks. Kamala Harris wore a matching dress and jacket in a beautiful purple hue designed by African American designers Chistopher John Roger and Sergio Hudson. Dr. Jill Biden arrived in a matching turquoise dress and jacket with reflective threads sown in throughout, even including a matching face mask. Last but certainly not least, Michelle Obama showed up in a stunning matching burgundy pantsuit also made by Sergio Hudson. The Biden granddaughters also jumped on the monochromatic wave, all wearing matching monochromatic coat looks in pink, tan and white. Honorable mentions include Nikolas Ajagu and Bernie Sander. Nikolas, Kamala’s nephew-in-law, had sneaker heads in shock to see him wear Air Jordan Dior 1’s. Bernie Sanders wore these amazing brown mittens that the internet loved. These mittens were made from repurposed wool sweaters and recycled plastic bottles. Everyone’s outfits made heads turn at the presidential inauguration this year.
