As captain of the boys varsity soccer team at El Diamante High School, I was extremely elated to hear the news that we may start conditioning soon and that there may be hope for a season. With our Covid situation continuing on into 2021, I personally thought I may never see the school fields again and still, have my doubts about the season. Although I have my high doubts about the season this year as we stroll into February, we have been informed that we may start conditioning soon which sparks some hope in me. I am extremely excited to hear that we may have a shot at the valley ring again this year, but I am not sure if I should keep my hopes high in fear that it will just be a let down. Let’s pray that we can get life back on track, and receive the sport seasons that seniors all deserve!
