On Tuesday San Francisco United School District Board of Education will rename 42 schools because they have associations with slave-holding, colonization or oppression names such as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are no longer suitable names. People that supported the name change said that the new names should reflect the characteristics of the school. Some opposing sides argue they are trying to erase history. Each school has until April 19 to submit suggestions names for the schools .
