Two teens were found dead inside of a pickup truck on the side of a rural Tulare county road about two weeks ago. One victim was 14 years old. On Thursday, January 28, Tulare detectives arrested a 24 year-old man who had a connection with the incident that took place on January 10. The man’s name was announced. Brian Marcias Villanueva was accused of killing Javier Soriano, 19, and the 14 year-old boy. As of right now they are trying to figure the motive behind the killings. It could possibly be gang ties. Both of the victims lived in Fresno and had been found inside of the truck on Road 36 and Avenue 264, along the border of Kings and the Tulare counties. They have found evidence against Villanueva but it is unclear what the evidence they are trying to prove. Villanueva was booked into Tulare County Adult Pretrial Facility as of this moment. This is still an active investigation, more will be revealed later on in this case.
