The Biden administration recently announced that they will deploy about 1,000 troops across the U.S. to help with the COVID-19 vaccination process. An approval from Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin helped the Biden administration to receive a boost in vaccination efforts with active duty U.S. troops. According to the Pentagon, 1,110 troops will form into five teams that will travel to five FEMA Covid-19 vaccination sites, and that the troops are expected to deploy at the sites within 96 hours. Part of the troops recruited for this plan will also be in California in about ten days to start vaccination efforts around February 15. The Pentagon also states that the military’s role in the vaccination effort is to make sure that every American who wants a vaccine will receive one.
