Effects of COVID

COVID-19 has been around for almost an entire year now. During this time, there have been many effects in people’s life due to the pandemic. It has impacted lives terribly. There is not one good thing it has done. Besides getting sick and people losing their loved ones, there are other damages this pandemic has done. People from all around have lost their jobs, and this leads them to lose money. My cousin lost her home due to the loss of her job because of COVID. This impacted my family a lot because we love her, and seeing her in pain without her house is upsetting. She had to get rid of her dog because she couldn’t afford food to feed him as well. She is slowly working on getting another house. She is staying with her mom at the moment. Her job let her go after she got in contact with someone who had COVID. Her job insisted her to take a test and the results came back negative. They still didn’t want to risk it so they decided to let her go. This is very messed up, and no job should do that. Also, COVID has led me to be very antisocial. Before COVID, I was very social, and I never cared what people thought. Since quarantine, I haven’t been in contact with as many people as I used to be. Now, it is hard for me to even order food at a restaurant. The only people I’m able to talk to without hesitation or feeling nervous are my family, my boyfriend, and my two best friends, Jazzy and Arianna. I am very shy now, and I would have never expected myself to be this quiet and kept to myself. COVID has impacted my life in a bad way. It has changed me as a person. I am definitely not who I used to be. I am excited for COVID to be over so I can become the person I once was.
