Solange Knowles, sister of Beyonce is honestly an incredible artist. Although she isn’t underground or anything, it seems that not a whole lot of people know of the music that she puts out which I believe deserves way more attention.
Her most famous song, Cranes in the Sky, is mostly the song people refer to her when they hear her name. Though my favorite songs from her have got to be Mad, Bad Girls (Verdine Version), and Don’t Touch My Hair. I feel like there’s something just magical about the low bass riffs and her vocals in her music. A lot of her music is a mixture of hip hop, R&B, and soul.
