On Friday, February 19, 2021, Six Flags Magic Mountain announced on their official Instagram account that they would be reopening. Although the park did not release a lot of information, they stated that they would be reopening for the spring. The post quickly received a lot of attention as many teenagers were quick to share the good news. Despite the excitement of many, the park will need to take many precautions to ensure safety is their priority. Six Flags Magic Mountain (which is located in Santa Clarita) is in Los Angeles County, which is currently still in the purple tier of Gavin Newsom’s plan. Despite the precautionary measures, this is something that many people can look forward to. Even though theme parks such as Disney World have opened up with additional safety measures, theme parks in California have been closed since the beginning of the pandemic.
