Around 9 p.m, officers had received a call to a shooting at Mooney and Princeton Avenue, between Houk and Rotary parks. With more involved violent crimes detectives responded in which they had to take over the investigation. As more unraveled detectives found out that two groups of people got into a heated argument, opening gunfire at each other. Luckily nobody was injured, a small business close to the gunfight had been struck along with a vehicle. Numerous businesses had been close to the gunfight, with IHOP, Smile Dentistry for Kids, and Tux-n-Tails. As for one of the shooters, Jacinto Acosta, 24, was later found in the area by officers and identified as being one of the shooters in the shootout. He is now booked in Tulare County Pretrial Facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, being a gang member in possession of a firearm, and gang enhancement.
