On February 20th, 2021, Jasmine Harrison, a young woman at the age of 21, completed the 2020 Talisker Whisky Challenge. The challenge consisted of a 70 day trip across the Atlantic Ocean. She not only completed this 3,000 mile journey from Spain to Antigua in record time, but she also became the first woman to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
She broke the world record and hopes to inspire young people and show them that they can accomplish great things alone if they put their heart to it. She spoke about her accomplishments on her website this Saturday and explained what inspired to take part in such a huge challenge.
