As of February 26th, 2021 the Covid-19 cases in California are at 15.2 new cases per every 100,000 and in order for El Diamante Sports to come back to having a season, that number needs to be at or below 14 cases per 100,000. This number has to be specifically on a Tuesday in order for schools to take action upon our seasons, and right now it is looking like we have a really good shot of receiving the sports we have all been patiently waiting for. These sports have been stripped from students like us this entire year due to Covid-19 but now there is a sign of hope for this potential comeback of sports, leaving every student athlete extremely excited and wishful for the future. With these aspirations, my soccer coach has relayed to us that if we do indeed hit these numbers, we will receive a 28 game soccer season like usual, and school may even be back in session before we believe it. I am extremely hopeful in what is to come in the next couple of weeks, and I am looking forward to the end of this global pandemic with the resumption of our lives again.
