If the World Ended Part 7

As Sarah looks around the cabin, out of breath, she drops to her knees and starts crying. Sarah’s crying, tears coming down her face and hitting the ground. Her hair was not brushed, and she was wearing clothes you would only wear in the snow. She feels dirty from no showering, and she mostly feels alone.

Sarah pauses and wipes her tears away, gets back up, and finally sees how it will be from now on.  She looks around the cabin one more time and starts to leave. As she takes a step out, there’s a sound out in the woods, and Sarah sees something coming out of the woods. She sees it’s a dog and lets out the breath she was holding in. The dog stops in his tracks and stares at Sarah. Sarah sees that the dog was a stray Great Dane, she also sees there is foam coming out of its mouth, and it starts growling at her. She is frozen on the spot and is having eye contact with the Great Dane. She takes one more breath and takes off back inside the cabin, closing the door behind her. The Great Dane starts to bark and growl at the closed door. Sarah is scared and thinks that the dog is going to break through the old, rusted door, but then it goes quite. She calms her breathing and listens for the dog and only hears the wind swaying the leaves back and forth.
