Daylight Savings time can cause many dangers to people’s health. On March 14th many people will set their clocks ahead just one hour. However, many Americans will lose sleep leading to negative impacts on both their physical and mental health. During the week following this change many may receive thirty less minutes of sleep each night, and can even last throughout the following Friday. This lack of sleep can lead to many serious health problems including the risk of stroke or heart attack.
