Asian Americans are being racially targeted, and several recent attacks have not been charged as hate crimes, igniting protests and outrage among many Asian-Americans.
The number of anti-Asian hate incidents that can include shunning, slurs and physical attacks is greater than previously reported. Asian American women are being especially targeted. There was just an incident on Tuesday night where a man went on a rampage at three spas in Atlanta, and ended up murdering six Asian women and eight people in total.
These violent assaults have the Asian Community outraged and terrified. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will be meeting with Asian American leaders following Tuesday’s shooting that killed 8 people.
These hate crimes need to come to an end. Asian Americans are living in fear just because of their race. Innocent people are being racially assaulted and killed walking down the street, while working at their jobs, and on public transportation. There is a very big racism problem in America and there always has been.
