In recent events, many women have come forward and told their stories of sexual assault, sexual harassment, etc. There’s even been statistics shown that 97% of women have been through these situations at some point in their lives in Europe. One situation that had occurred was in the United Kingdom. On March 3 2021, a woman by the name of Sarah Everard, was a 33 year old woman who was murdered and potentially been harassed by an alleged police man from walking alone in the street; She had just left her friend’s house. Sarah Everard will forever be missed by her sisters. Another situation happened on March 13th 2020; her name was Breonna Taylor. She was afraid that there would be an intruder in her home, but soon learned it was the police that shot six plus rounds of bullets killing her. All women have experienced trauma and harassment once or more in her lifetime. It is amazing how not many people are able to see how a woman can be an easier target than men. But in recent times, more women are coming out and telling their stories and are all part of the 97%.
