Visalia Teen Accused of Attempted Robbery Tries to Escape Arrest

On April 3rd, around 3 p.m, an incident was reported to patrol officers. As reported on an armed teeneger with a knife, around South Mooney Boulevard. As officers arrived on the scene, they spoke to the victim. He had told officers that the boy threatened him with the knife, then proceeded to demand him his belongings. It is still unknown if the man handed anything to the boy. The victim got away from any injuries, Lombardo said. The boy had vanished from the scene, but the officers found him later. Where he later resisted arrest, but later captured again. He was booked into Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility on suspicion of a deadly weapon, attempted robbery, brandishing of a knife. Since he is a minor, his name will not be released. He will be expected to appear in front of a juvenile court judge this week.
