Saturday, April 10th at approximately 4:44 pm a Yukon SUV was driving on Highway 180 when its rear tire separated from the car. According to eyewitnesses, the car was traveling at about 75 – 80 miles per hour, which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
When losing control of the car, they crossed a center median entering oncoming traffic, where he was struck by two cars, an Infiniti and a Ford Focus.
The gentleman driving the SUV had major injuries causing him to be transported to CRMC. The woman driving the Infinity was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash while the male in the Ford Focus had major to moderate injuries.
