In the almost month long trial, Derek Chauvin has been found guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. His sentencing is expected to be in about 8 weeks. He is being held at Oak Park Heights maximum-security prison in Minnesota. President Joe Biden has pledged for police reform after Chauvin’s trial. The trial has brought justice but we still have a long way to go from here. Biden assured people the fight for racial justice is nowhere near done.
